Cities: Skylines Announces New Vehicle and Map Content Creator Packs

Two new Cities: Skylines Content Creator Packs have been announced: Vehicles of the World (which adds 21 new vehicles) and a Map Pack (which adds 8 new maps).

Cities: Skylines has been going strong for four years and is no stranger to DLC. Each piece of DLC improves or enhances a particular aspect of the game; for example, Sunset Harbor adds some cool new features for boats, fishing, and water.

A VR spinoff of the game called Cities VR was announced late last year, but that doesn’t mean the devs at Colossal Order have forgotten about the original experience; two new pieces of premium DLC content based on community creations have been revealed.

Also Arriving: Cities: Skylines – Airports, Calm The Mind Radio, and On-Air Radio

Aside from the two new Content Creator Packs, fans of city builders can look forward to three additional pieces of DLC, all of which are arriving on January 25, 2022.

The big release is Cities: Skylines – Airports, a new expansion that improves on the game’s airports. You can probably expect it to cost somewhere between $12.99 and $14.99, a price that would be in line with most of the game’s other expansions. Fans of the in-game radio are also getting two new options: the relaxation station Calm The Mind Radio and the jazz station On Air Radio, both of which will likely be priced at $3.99.

For now, you can add Vehicles of the World, the new Map Pack, and all of this other DLC to your wishlist on Steam; you’ll be able to enjoy all of this new content when it launches on January 25, 2022. If you haven’t yet jumped into this city-builder, you can buy Cities: Skylines for PC and consoles via its official website starting at $29.99 or your regional equivalent.
