The Microsoft Flight Simulator Roadmap has been updated for 2022, detailing what new content players can look forward to in the next few months.

Microsoft Flight Simulator closed out 2021 with a bang. Following its improvements to training earlier in the year, the devs debuted World Update 6 and revealed the Game of the Year Edition. Now, a new year is here — and that means it’s time to update the roadmap!

What’s New in the Microsoft Flight Simulator Roadmap 2022?

The Microsoft Flight Simulator Roadmap has some nice surprises in store for players. To start, World Update 7 and World Update 8 are both slated for this year, both of which are going to be coming within the next few months.

Naturally, some new planes are coming, too. The Fokker FVII will be the second Local Legend and will debut this month. The first “Famous Flyer” will also be making its debut soon — the Antonov AN-2 will launch on February 22, 2022. The third Local Legend plane is planned for sometime in March 2022.

When is the Microsoft Flight Simulator World Update 7 Release Date?

The Microsoft Flight Simulator World Update 7 release date is January 31, 2021. Local Legend II: Fokker FVII will also debut on this date.
