How to Fish in V Rising
You can Fish in V Rising by crafting a Fishing Pole at a Woodworking Bench. From there, you simply need to equip it, go to a Fishing location, and left-click on the pool of Fish to cast your line. When the water splashes, left-click again and you will reel a fish (or other loot) in as long as you’re fast enough.
How to Unlock Fishing in V Rising
You can unlock Fishing in V Rising by defeating Rufus the Foreman in the Farbane Woods. This unlocks the Woodworking Bench which allows you to craft the Fishing Rod.
How Long Does It Take for Fish to Respawn?
Based on my testing, it takes anywhere from 6-48 hours for a fishing spot to respawn, although there is no guarantee that a fishing spot will respawn within that window. There appear to be other factors at play here — I’ve observed that some specific spots will not respawn for several in-game days.
V Rising Fishing Map
Every blue dot represents a location where I have observed fish spawning firsthand. Bear in mind that this is not an exhaustive map — I’ve yet to cover the Cursed Forest and Silverlight Hills. Additionally, some locations did not appear to spawn fish at all.
Best Place to Fish in V Rising
The best place to Fish in V Rising depends on what loot you’re looking to get, and that depends on the zone. Therefore, you should look for the best place in each zone.
- Farbane Woods – the pools west, north, and south of the Bandit Armory.
- Dunley Farmlands – north of the Colosseum.
- Hallowed Mountains – the small pool north of the Frozen Cave where you fight Terrorclaw the Ogre. (In fact, this appears to be the only place you can fish in this zone.)
