The Disney Dreamlight Valley Scar update should be released in around three weeks, Gameloft has revealed. Said update is also scheduled to bring bug fixes and help for major priority issues like progress loss, console crashes, and missing rewards for Founder’s Pack purchasers.
Over on Twitter, Disney Dreamlight Valley developer Gameloft confirms that it’s looking to introduce the “first content update featuring Scar” sometime this fall. Right now, the tentative timeline is for the update to release in three weeks, although Gameloft says it “can’t share exact timing yet”. This date is also separate to the current Star Path end date, so that’ll come at another time.
As well as Scar, the impending update is also set to introduce fixes for key issues identified by the Disney Dreamlight Valley development team. These include prevention of progress loss, as well as missing Founder’s Pack rewards and console crashes (which are particularly prevalent on the Nintendo Switch, we understand).
Of course, that’s not all. The new update is also bringing a continuation of the main Disney Dreamlight Valley story, although there’s no confirmation of whether we’re getting Simba and other Lion King characters at the same time. PS4 optimizations, a fix for Switch audio distortion, and fixes for glitched quests are all also on the way, as well as improvements to the Photo Mode and new avatar poses to help you look great.
You can pick up Disney Dreamlight Valley right now on PC, PlayStation consoles, Xbox platforms, and Nintendo Switch. It’s proven to be an incredibly popular game, with a million players checking it out since release (probably helped in no small part by the game’s Xbox Game Pass day one availability).
