The Bible Is Launching On Steam This Month

Crank up your liquid cooling and get ready to install more RAM, because The Bible will soon be available on Steam, pushing your gaming PC to its absolute limits. Simply called The Bible, this Steam version will offer various features including the ability to read chapters in any order and a fun little trivia game.

The Bible‘s developer is the rather astutely-named Bible Games, and as you might imagine, the studio doesn’t have any other titles on Steam right now. Hey, if you’re good at something, why deviate, right? The game’s Steam page describes it as a “kinetic novel” (which feels rather contentious to me), allowing you to skip through sections, read passages however you like, and save excerpts to read later.

A trivia question about who built the Tower of Babel in The Bible on Steam
You better brush up on your Bible trivia for Steam’s The Bible.

There’s also a rather extensive trivia section that will ask you questions about both the New and Old Testaments, so you’d better start doing your Bible research if you want to get the questions right. If you’d rather listen to the Bible than read it, then never fear: this game also contains a “wonderful audiobook presentation”, so you can hear the whole thing as an audio drama.

Plenty of mods and game updates have brought more complex and interlocking religious systems to existing games, and this also isn’t the first time the Bible has found its way to a gaming system. Still, having the whole Bible available on Steam is a pretty impressive feat, so if you’re looking to brush up on your religious history, this seems like a good place to start.

The Bible hits Steam on November 14th, apparently, so make sure to wishlist it if you’re interested. It’s not clear whether or not the developers intend to charge for the project, but one suspects it’ll be available for free. The system requirements are pretty low; you’ll need just 2GB of RAM and a DirectX 11-compatible card to run it. That’ll be the game that really puts that RTX 4090 to the test.
