Pummel Party Update Adds New Minigames, Mod Workshop, and More

Mario-like mini-game driven cop-op game, Pummel Party has revived a major update. With it comes even more exciting mini-games to enjoy and a mod workshop that allows players to customize their games and maps, then share them with other players of the game.

Pummel Party is all about mini-games, whether that be a Board Mode match where only one player can reign victorious or Snowy Spin that lets you throw your friends from the map to rise to the top of the charts. The game was released in September of 2018 and has drummed up a significant amount of reviews, all of which are overwhelmingly positive. The devs at Rebuilt Games decided it was time to add even more to their multiplayer game and give the players a way to truly customize their experience.

The mod workshop is a place creative players can go to create both boards and mini-games of their very own. The developers added several features that make it look as though you are creating the entire game by yourself, which in a way, you are. There are a total of six different mini-game templates to choose from, including minimal third-person, minimal top-down, simple arena, third-person obstacle course, third-person shooter, and top-down shooter. These templates start you off on the right foot, giving you all of the assets and tools you need to create a mini-game of your own, in whatever way you see fit.

The Board mods allow you to create new board maps for you and your friends to play on with ease, allowing you to create customized board spaces and even create custom actions by using logic. Each action you create can be triggered by a specific event that occurs in-game, meaning you don’t need to learn how to code to make something happen when someone lands on a space. You can make sounds play when they land, give them a key to pick up they might need later, or even kill them off for landing on said space.

New mini-games have also been added to Pummel Party, including Pummel Punch, where the goal is to punch your opponent off of the map in order to gain points; the one with the least amount of deaths at the end wins. There is also the Aftershock Arena mini-game, where players must utilize an array of weapons to fight their opponents to the death. The player with the most kills at the end wins the game.

To try your hand at these interesting new mini-games or create a few of your very own, head over to the Pummel Party Steam page and give it a whirl.
