Today developer Shift Up revealed a new trailer of its popular mobile game Goddess of Victory: Nikke, introducing the upcoming update.
Alongside a major change to character skills, an update coming tomorrow, January 12, will bring new content for players to enjoy, starting with two new SSR characters, Jackal and Viper.
The main story will be expanded with chapters 19 and 20, while the new gameplay mode titled Liberation will let you accrue points that can be used to earn an SSR Nikke. In the first round of the system, you can unlock Guilty, Sin, and Quency from Real Kindness.
A Lost Sector update adds sectors 12, 13, and X3, and there’ll also be plenty of events to enjoy. You can check out Jackal and Viper in action in the trailer below.
Goddess of Victory: Nikke is currently available for iOS and Android. It’s free-to-play with optional microtransactions and it has proven to be quite popular since its release worldwide back in November.
If you’re unfamiliar with Shift Up, it’s the studio that created the popular mobile game Destiny Child and its CEO is famous South Korean artist Hyung-tae Kim. You may be familiar with him for his gorgeous character design in the Magna Carta series and in Blade & Souls.
Currently, the studio is also working on a PS5 action game, originally codenamed Project EVE and recently renamed Stellar Blade.
