Today Electronic Arts and Respawn Entertainment revealed an upcoming trailer that appears to be teasing a mysterious launch.
The trailer, which showcases Bangalore on the thumbnail, is in fact called “Launch Trailer,” which is certainly unusual, as it doesn’t say what’s going to be launched.
It’s supposed to air on February 6 at 8:00 am PST, 11:00 am EST, 4:00 PM GMT, or 5:00 PM CET depending on where you live, and you can find it embedded below if you want to watch the reveal as it happens.
Of course, this is going to be related to the upcoming Season 16, but we don’t know what it specifically entails just yet. We’ll have to wait for Monday and see.
The official Twitter account of the game also posted two illustrations teasing an “Opening Day Carnival” including various attractions, as you can see below. The tweets and the trailer are explicitly linked, but the trailer’s title feels like it implies something more than simply a new season.

Apex Legends is currently available for PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, Xbox One, Xbox Series X|S, Nintendo Switch, and PC via Origin and Steam. It’s free-to-play, so you can jump in without spending any money, but of course, it features the inevitable optional microtransactions. Currently, the Celestial Sunrise Collection Event is ongoing.
It’s also one one of the most-played games in the world, having passed 100 million players in early 2022. On the other hand, EA just announced the upcoming shutdown of Apex Legends Mobile while pledging that a different mobile experience actually connected with the main game is planned.
If you prefer single-player games, Respawn Entertainment is currently working on Star Wars Jedi: Survivor, which is a sequel to the highly-praised Star Wars Jedi: Fallen Order and has recently been delayed to April 2023.
