Today Gust and Koei Tecmo announced that their upcoming JRPG Atelier Ryza 3: Alchemist of the End & Secret Key has reached the end of its development.
Basically, it has gone gold, albeit the term isn’t normally used by Japanese developers. All the code that will be printed on the disk is ready, and all that the developers have left to do is preparation for a possible day 1 update and DLC. The game is now ready for its release next month without further delays (it was originally slated to launch on February 24, but it was delayed to improve its quality).
To celebrate the announcement, Gust released a nice little video featuring a dancing Ryza.

Atelier Ryza 3: Alchemist of the End & Secret Key was announced at Tokyo Game Show 2022 and is the sequel of Atelier Ryza 2: Lost Legends & the Secret Fairy, originally released between the end of 2020 and the beginning of 2021 across Japan and the west. It’s the ending of the first trilogy in the Atelier series to retain the same protagonist across all three games, since Atelier Ryza: Ever Darkness & the Secret Hideout launched in 2019. This is certainly a testament to Ryza’s popularity, also thanks to the charming character design by Toridamono.
According to its developers, it’ll also be the last game featuring Ryza, so fans will have to soon say goodbye to one of the most beloved heroines in the history of the Atelier franchise.
The game will release for PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, Nintendo Switch, and PC on March 24, 2023.
