Today DMM and Koei Tecmo announced the Japanese release date of the upcoming PC and mobile JRPG Blue Reflection Sun.
The game will start its service in the country on February 21 for iOS, Android, and PC via DMM’s own client.
You can check out a trailer below, featuring art by character designer Mel Kishida and the song “Clockworx” by Syudou X Mafumafu.
Incidentally, the reveal was made during a livestream from Japan, during which plenty of gameplay was showcased. You can watch it here.
If you haven’t heard of Blue Reflection SUN before, it’s the latest game of the Blue Reflection series of JRPGs by Gust and Koei Tecmo, announced back in 2021 and then kept under wraps until a few months ago.
For now, only a Japanese launch has been announced and we don’t know whether it’ll ever be localized in English. If I was a betting man, my answer would be “no” but I have been proven wrong before.
It’s defined as a “heroic JRPG” and it features the first male protagonist of the franchise, which previously was exclusively focused on its schoolgirl heroines with Blue Reflection and Blue Reflection: Second Light released respectively in 2017 and 2021.
If you want to see more about the game, you can take a look at a couple of trailer featuring its heroines, Alecia Yuu Morisaki and Xiao Meiqi.
