Marvel’s Midnight Suns Venom DLC Trailer Shows Gameplay Deep Dive

Today 2K Games and Firaxis released a new trailer for the second DLC coming to Marvel’s Midnight Suns

The new DLC titled “Redemption” focuses on the popular antihero Venom, making him a playable character, and today we get to see exactly how he plays. It appears that he features some rather marked differences from most other heroes at our disposal in the game.

We already know that the DLC also includes new story missions, an upgrade for the Abbey, and cosmetics for Venom himself, who will also have his own set of 10 hero abilities.

You can check him out in the video below.

The “Redemption” DLC for Marvel’s Midnight Suns releases on February 23. Of course, if you have the Season Pass or the Legendary Edition, you won’t need to buy the DLC separately. We already know that the Season Pass will include two more characters, Morbius and Storm. At the moment, we don’t know when those will join the team, but the first DLC hero, Deadpool, is already available following his release last month.

If you’re unfamiliar with Marvel’s Midnight Suns itself, it’s a turn-based tactical RPG somehow similar in gameplay to Firaxis’ how XCOM series, but with a few twists added. You get to lead a squad of Marvel superheroes and antiheroes against an otherworldly threat, and it’s the first-ever game that lets you create and completely customize your very own Marvel hero or heroine.

The game is currently available for PS5, Xbox Series X|S, and PC, while the previously-announced PS4, Xbox One, and Nintendo Switch versions have been delayed to a later (not yet announced) date.
