Trinity Trigger by Veteran JRPG Developers Gets Western Release Date

Today Marvelous Europe announced the western release date of the upcoming JRPG by FuRyu Trinity Trigger. 

The game will launch in the west for PS5, PS4, and Nintendo Switch on May 16. Xseed Games has not yet announced the release date for North America officially, but it should be in the same ballpark.

The game comes from the mind of a team of veteran JRPG developers including artist Nobuteru Yuki (Trials of Mana, Chrono Cross), character designer Raita Kazama (Xenoblade), scenario writer Yura Kubota (Octopath Traveler and Bravely Default 2), and composer Hiroki Kikuta (Secret of Mana, Trials of Mana). That’s certainly quite the pedigree. 

The game has already been available in Japan for a while. It released on the local market in September 2022. It’s an interesting mix of JRPG mechanics, including a bit of Pokemon. This isn’t surprising as among the team there are also veterans from the franchise by Game Freak, who worked on the Pokemon-like “Triggers.”
