Elden Ring Infographic Shows Just How Many Malenia Attempts There Have Been

Bandai Namco has shared a new Elden Ring infographic that contains some fascinating stats about the game. If you’ve played it (and even if you haven’t), you’ll know From Software’s action RPG is pretty hard, but the infographic gives new insight into just how hard it is, as well as sharing some other interesting information. If you haven’t played Elden Ring and you still want to, be aware that this infographic does spoil a couple of the game’s major bosses.

First up, we learn that cumulatively, Elden Ring players have initiated almost 6 billion boss fights between them since the game was launched in February last year. Again, if you’ve played Elden Ring, this probably won’t come as a surprise, but the most-initiated boss in the game is Malenia, Blade of Miquella, with 329 million initiations. Margit, the Fell Omen comes in second place, with the Limgrave Tree Sentinel in third. Fourth and fifth place are occupied by Radagon of the Golden Order and Starscourge Radahn, respectively.

What would you say is the most common cause of death in Elden Ring? If you guessed “enemies”, then you’re absolutely right, since enemies and NPCs make up 69% of player deaths in the game. 15% of deaths are caused by status effects, while a further 14% are caused by falls. Only 2% of deaths are caused by other players.

More than 1 billion summons have taken place across Elden Ring‘s player base, and 88% of those summons were for co-op, with just 12% being used for invasions. The most commonly-used spell in Elden Ring is Rock Sling, with Crystal Torrent and Glintstone Pebble in second and third place. The final stat shared in the infographic is players’ most commonly-acquired incantation, which is Blessing of the Erdtree. That’s not surprising, considering that it’s pretty difficult to miss during the course of the main story.

Elden Ring is From Software’s latest action RPG in the Soulsborne mold. The studio’s open-world take on its formula has proven phenomenally popular with players, selling 20 million copies since its launch last year. From Software is currently working on a DLC pack for the game titled Shadow of the Erdtree, too, so there’s more Elden Ring to come. The game is available now on PC, PlayStation, and Xbox if you’re yet to play it.
