Fire Emblem Engage Expansion Pass Wave 4 Release Date Revealed

Nintendo has revealed the Fire Emblem Engage Expansion Pass Wave 4 release date, so it won’t be long until more strategy RPG goodness arrives on your Switch. The fourth wave of DLC for the game will offer new characters, new maps, and the Fell Xenologue story scenario.

This news was announced via a brand new trailer, which showcases some of the content you can expect from the upcoming Fire Emblem Engage DLC. The trailer opens with Alear commenting on a “monument” that turns out to be their own grave, and as it progresses, we see new characters and scenarios, including axe user Nil, spear wielder Nel, and wyvern rider Zelestia. You can check the trailer out here.

Nel and Nil seem like they’re going to be the core of the new DLC, as a voiceover later in the trailer says that an organization called the Four Winds was created in order to protect the two of them. Evil versions of some of the characters you’re familiar with from Engage also pop up, like archer Alcryst, who can be seen facing off against Alear and Marth.

As well as new characters, the DLC will also bring more maps to test your strategic mettle, and you can also look forward to “added class types”, although we’re not sure what those will be just yet. Suffice it to say that if you’re already a fan of Fire Emblem Engage and you want more content in its world, then this new DLC wave should do the trick.

Fire Emblem Engage is out right now on Nintendo Switch, where it’ll set you back $59.99. The new DLC wave, which is part of the overall Expansion Pass package, launches on April 5th, although the YouTube description for the aforementioned trailer says it launches on April 4th, which is a touch confusing. Make sure to check into the eShop regularly around that time so you don’t miss out.
