If our daily Microsoft Flight Simulator news weren’t enough for you, FlightFX just made a new announcement on its Discord Server that may serve as icing on the cake. The developer is working on a Piaggio P.180 Avanti II.
At the moment, there is no further information on the super-sleek executive turboprop known for its propellers in pusher configuration that makes it a rather unique sight in any airport. We just know that it’s coming and we get to see a few screenshots of the model, which you can enjoy below.
Do keep in mind that these are 3D renders of the model, so they don’t feature the final textures and they’re not in the simulator just yet.
The Piaggio P.180 Avanti II is the second iteration of the Italian-built Piaggio P.180 Avanti that first flew in 1986 and was first introduced in the executive market in 1990.
It comes with two Pratt & Whitney Canada PT6A-66B turboprop engines and a full glass cockpit, and thanks to its configuration it’s actually faster than many similar-sized business jets. The aircraft isn’t just used for executive transport, but also as an Air Ambulance and more.
It’s definitely a very welcome addition to the Microsoft Flight Simulator fleet, albeit we don’t know when exactly it’ll be released. We’ll keep an eye on its progress and you’ll be able to read all about it as news is shared by FlightFX in our daily report.
Microsoft Flight Simulator is currently available for PC, Xbox Series X|S, and Xbox Cloud Gaming, including Game Pass.
