Following yesterday’s reveal, today Creative Assembly revealed an extensive gameplay video of the Total War: Warhammer III DLC “Forge of the Chaos Dwarfs.”
The video shows the beginning of a campaign with iconic legendary lord Astragoth Ironhand at the helm, providing an in-depth look at the mechanics that govern the Chaos Dwarfs and even how they fight.

If you’re new-ish to the Warhammer world and you’re unfamiliar with the Chaos Dwarfs, they’re a race that has received very limited support and appeared in very limited fashion following Warhammer‘s 5th Edition, albeit they always existed in the lore. They’re an evil faction worshipping the chaos god of fire Hashut, the Bull God, Father of Darkness.
Despite their downfall in Games Workshop’s graces (and they’re certainly not the only good thing Games Workshop abandoned over the years), they have a very rich and interesting lore and a very distinctive Babylonian/Mesopotamian inspiration for their looks.
Forge of the Chaos Dwarfs is the first paid DLC for Total War: Warhammer III, and will release on April 13, with pre-orders already open for $22.49 (this is an early bird discount, and on April, 20, the price will go back up to $24.99).
