Call of Duty: Modern Warfare II & Warzone 2 Season 03 Multiplayer Trailer Shows New Content

Today Activision released a new trailer focusing on the upcoming Season 03 of Call of Duty: Modern Warfare II and Warzone 2.

The trailer, which follows another revealed yesterday, focuses on the multiplayer content that will be added with the new season, which is launching on April 12. 

We get to see the new maps Pelayo’s Lighthouse, Black Gold, Rohan Oil, and Sattiq Cave Complex, on top of the introduction of the modes: Cranked, Face Off, and GW Infected.

Of course, there will be new weapons including the FJX Imperium sniper rifle, the Cronen Squall battle rifle, and two new sidearms.

Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2 is currently available for PC, PS5, PS4, Xbox Series X|S, and Xbox One. Warzone 2.0 is its free-to-play battle royale spin-off and it’s available for the same platforms. 

At the moment, the future of the Call of Duty series is on the brink. We already know that a new premium game is releasing this year, but the pending acquisition of Activision Blizzard could bring changes of direction, especially considering that Microsoft has been striking deals with companies like Nintendo and Nvidia to get the franchise on the Switch and on Geforce Now.

This means that the franchise could reach whole groups of new users with its future iterations, but this requires the acquisition to go through. Microsoft and Activision expect to close it by June 30, but regulators have been dragging their feet instigated by rival Sony, which appears to be determined to block the acquisition at all costs, having refused agreements similar to the one offered to Nintendo.
