Today Capcom released another video of the upcoming fighting game Street Fighter 6, focusing fully on the soundtrack.
The video showcases the theme music track of Cammy, which is one of the series most storied characters, having appeared all the way in Super Street Fighter II in 1993.
Her return was revealed a couple of months ago during a PlayStation State of Play livestream alongside two more characters, Lily and Zangief (Both Lily and Zangief already got their own music reveals. Unless I’m horribly wrong, Cammy’s was the last missing).
You can check out her track in the video below.
If you’re unfamiliar with Cammy, here’s an update on her background from Capcom itself.
“First appearing in Super Street Fighter II, the cat-loving Cammy returns with her beloved arsenal of high-powered attacks, including Spiral Arrow, Cannon Spike, and Hooligan Combination. The Heavy version of each of those three moves has been enhanced to allow for a delay which results in altered properties for some big damage. Visit King Street, Cammy’s foggy, industrial stage, and perform deadly Super Art moves like the Killer Bee Spin and Delta Red Assault to send opponents to their knees and get the crowd buzzing”
Recently, we’ve seen many gameplay clips showcasing full matches played by the developers including Cammy versus Manon, Lily herself versus E. Honda, Marisa versus Manon, Dee Jay versus Dhalsim, Blanka versus JP, and Zangief versus Marisa. We recently also learned that Japanese actress Hikaru Takahashi joined the roster of commentators for the Real-Time Commentary feature introduced for the game.
Street Fighter 6 is releasing on June 2, 2023. This time around, it’s returning to its multiplatform nature, as it’ll launch for PlayStation 5, PlayStation 4, Xbox Series X|S, and PC via Steam. It’ll also come to the arcades via Taito, albeit that version won’t probably leave Japan at least for the time being.
