Tempest Rising PvP Shows its Classic RTS Roots in Promising PvP Gameplay

3D Realms and Slipgate Ironworks released new gameplay of its upcoming real-time-strategy game Tempest Rising.  

The video showcases PvP multiplayer gameplay, and more specifically a 1v1 match, which immediately shows the game’s classic RTS roots. If you’re familiar with beloved titles like Command & Conquer, you’ll certainly feel right at home watching this. 

We get to see all the elements that made the genre popular, including base building, army composition, resource harvesting, and more.

Tempest Rising is coming to PC but doesn’t yet have a release date. According to the developer, there is still a lot about the gameplay that we haven’t seen yet, and they expect to provide more information about these mechanics at a later time. These include the Intel system and doctrines. 

The game is currently in beta, so the video isn’t final, but the developers like where it’s heading, so it should be a pretty good look at what we can expect when this brand-new RTS with a classic heart releases.
