Today Craftopia developer PocketPair revealed the release window for a massive upcoming update for its popular early access game.
Aptly dubbed “Seamless World Update,” it’ll come in June 2023 and it promises to be the biggest ever for the game. The developers have been heads down working hard on pretty much rebuilding the world of the game from the ground up and adding lots of features and content.
The update has been announced a long time ago, and while its development has caused a significant slowdown in the pacing of content releases, it looks like the developers are finally going to deliver a month from now.
You can decide whether it was worth the wait or not by watching the brand-new trailer below. Personally, my answer definitely leans toward the “yes” but your mileage may vary, I suppose.
Craftopia is a charming open-world survival action game that includes farming, plenty of industrial-style crafting, animal breeding, a full-fleedged skill tree-based progression system, dungeon exploration and combat, fishing, vehicle building, multiplayer, and much more.
It was released in early access in September 2020 on PC via Steam and Windows Store, on top of Xbox One and Xbox Series X|S, including Game Pass. It has been in development ever since and as of 2022, we heard that the game has sold over a million copies on Steam alone, which is certainly flattering.
