Frontier Developments has officially revealed F1 Manager 23, the latest in the F1 Manager series of management sims. This one’s heading to PC, PlayStation, and Xbox in summer and is promising more realistic racing, deeper management mechanics, and all the other good stuff you’d expect from a sequel.
Per a Frontier press release, F1 Manager 23 will put you in the role of a Team Principal, leading your team to glory both on the track and in the back offices. The new Race Replay mode will give you the chance to literally rewrite history, revisiting moments from the 2023 F1 season and changing them as you see fit. Of course, the Career mode is also making a return. Take a look at the F1 Manager 23 announcement trailer right here.
F1 Manager 23 will introduce the role of the Sporting Director, a new and challenging position that involves managing pit crew and making decisions about pitstop times. You’ll also have to contend with new weight systems that introduce extra challenges for performance and reliability.
On the track, F1 Manager 23 introduces a new “driver confidence” system that determines how confidently drivers will make maneuvers like overtaking or going wheel-to-wheel with other cars. Of course, there’s plenty of new nerdy F1 stuff to pore over, too, like tyre temperature windows, cost caps, and contract negotiations. All in all, F1 Manager 23 looks like another essential management sim if you’ve got dreams of leading an F1 team to glory. Let’s just hope Frontier communicates with its players a little better this time around.
You’ll be able to play F1 Manager 23 when it lands in summer 2023 for PC, PlayStation consoles, and Xbox platforms. It’ll be available in both physical and digital form. Stay tuned to TechRaptor for a more concrete release date as and when we get one.
