Tears of the Kingdom Statue of the Eighth Heroine Guide

Tears of the Kingdom has a big world and the only thing more impressive than it’s size, is how it’s jam-packed with all kinds of secrets to discover. If you’re exploring the map, you might have come across the Statue of the Eighth Heroine, a statue that was part of a questline for Breath of the Wild, and now houses its own secrets. In this Tears of the Kingdom Statue of the Eight Heroine Guide, we’ll explain where to find this statue and how to unlock the gate to access a fun reward.

Where is the Statue of the Eight Heroine in Tears of the Kingdom?

The Statue is of a rumored protector of the Gerudo, but one whose been removed from all Gerudo legend for an unknown reason. Because of this figures status as a myth it makes sense that their statue is tucked away and hidden from the world. To find this statue head to the South West of the map and warp to the Gerudo Highlands Skyview Tower. From there travel North-West to a small chasm, if you’re looking at your map the chasm will be directly north of the r in “Gerudo Highlands”.

In this chasm will be a statue of a feminine figure with her arms outstretched as if in prayer and a large amber-colored plate on her chest. Above the chest plate where a face should be is instead a locked gate.

Make sure to also pick up the rock that’s sitting on her waist to reveal a hidden Korok!

How to open the Statue of the Eighth Heroine locked gate in Tears of the Kingdom?

The plate that’s on the Statue’s chest is one that will react to light, however due to the placement of the status it will never receive direct light without some assistance from Link. If you follow the cliff face on the West of the Status you’ll see a small platform in the cliff with three Mirror Zonai in it, alternatively the cliff face to the East has two Mirror Zonai lying on the ground. After you have a mirror in your possession you simply need to wait for direct sunlight and aim the resulting beam of light into the amber plate. After holding the light on it for a few seconds the gate will open and you’ll be able to make your way in.

Statue of the Eighth Heroine Reward

Once the gate is open head inside. This cave is filled with Gibdo and Flying Gibdo, regular attacks do minimal damage but any attack with an elemental affinity will make quick work of them. After defeating all of the Gibdo head to the back of the cave, use a fan to blow away the pile of sand in the small shrine and interact with the revealed treasure chest to obtain Tingle’s Hood. As you’d expect from Tingle the Tingle Hood only has 2 defence, one less than most of the other outfits that reference other games.
