Apex Legends Season 12 Start Date, New Legend Revealed

The Apex Legends Season 12 start date has been revealed, and Respawn has revealed the next Apex Legends Legend: the “punk-rock warlord” Mad Maggie.

We’re in the last few days of Apex Legends Season 11 which is currently in the midst of its Dark Depths limited-time event. As always, EA and Respawn Entertainment are spending the last couple of weeks getting everything ready for the next season — and our first new piece of information is here! Who is the Next Apex Legends Legend?

The next Apex Legends Legend is Mad Maggie, described as a ” cutthroat punk-rock warlord and the Outlands’ meanest mad-lass” in a press release from the publisher.

Margaret “Mad Maggie” Kōhere is a character that has already been revealed in background lore; she featured as part of the story of the Season 8 quest “Armageddon.” Mad Maggie is a childhood friend of Walter “Fuse” Fitzroy Jr., the Legend that was introduced in Season 8.

Unfortunately, neither Mad Maggie’s abilities nor her class have been revealed just yet. We’re likely to find out more information about the next Apex Legends Legend in the coming weeks as we get closer to the start of Season 12.

When is the Apex Legends Season 12 Start Date?

The Apex Legends Season 12 start date will be February 8, 2022, according to a press release from the publisher. Season 12 will be titled “Defiance” and feature the new Legend Mad Maggie. The Defiance Launch Trailer will be revealed on January 27, 2022.

Hopefully, the Apex Legends Season 12 start date goes a little better than the previous Season which had more than its fair share of troubles on launch. Season 11 also had its fair share of bugs, some of which resulted in two key guns being temporarily disabled (and subsequently restored a week later).
