Disney Dreamlight Valley Dreamlight Guide

Our Disney Dreamlight Valley Dreamlight Guide will tell you what Dreamlight is, how to get Dreamlight, and the best way to get Dreamlight fast!

What is Dreamlight in Disney Dreamlight Valley?

In gameplay terms, Dreamlight is a currency in Disney Dreamlight Valley that is used to unlock new locations on the Map and in the Castle. In lore terms, it can be thought of as a positive emotional “Dream energy” of sorts.

How to Get Dreamlight in Disney Dreamlight Valley

There are two core ways to get Dreamlight in Disney Dreamlight Valley:

  1. Completing Dreamlight Duties and other tasks as explained in the Dreamlight menu.
  2. Crafting Dream Shards into Dreamlight.

I cannot emphasize this enough — do not, under any circumstances, craft Dream Shards into Dreamlight. Dreamlight is easy to get, but Dream Shards can be difficult to come by — especially later in the game. The only exception is one quest from Merlin that requires you to convert a Dream Shard into Dreamlight — never do it again after that!

Best Way to Get Dreamlight Fast in Disney Dreamlight Valley

The best way to get Dreamlight Fast is by completing Daily Duties. Once completed, a new Daily Duty will take its place. You can do this pretty much forever, even in the late game.

Things are a little different in the early game — you haven’t earned most of the Dreamlight rewards listed in the menu. Some of these rewards pay out pretty early (such as by planting a handful of Crops). Focus on doing a little bit of everything to hit those easy Dreamlight goals. Once you start piling up the magical currency, you can shift your focus to clearing out the goals one at a time.
