How Stranded: Alien Dawn Exploration Works

Stranded: Alien Dawn Exploration requires a Hot Air Balloon (which you can get by completing the appropriate Research). The Hot Air Balloon must be fueled with 30 Liquid Fuel.

Once you’re all Fueled up, you can send a Survivor on an Expedition. The Survivor should have clothing appropriate for the current weather. Equipping armor may not be a bad idea, either — it’s possible for Survivors to be injured on some Expeditions.

Expeditions will often give you several choices to make. These choices can result in learning new Breakthroughs, gaining resources, or even finding other Survivors and adding them to your camp.

2. Research “Oil Extraction”

The “Call Source” Expedition requires a Survivor with an Intelligence of 5 or less. You’re then given a series of choices after finding a mysterious book. If you decide to press on, your Survivor will be attacked by a creepy doll and receive some wounds — but s/he will also gain maximum Intelligence as a benefit.
