You can become the farmer you always dreamed you could be in the latest Hydroneer farming update, where we see new features like crops, NPCs, and vehicles to get your farmland on the up and up.
Hydroneer is a base-building sandbox game, where the goal is to use those pickaxes, shovels, and tools to rustle up some gold. You sell off that gold to the buyers, which gives you some fat cash in order to revolutionize your dig sites and get you even more gold than you thought possible. Though there was plenty of content to enjoy, the developers at FoulBall Hangover just felt like the game was missing something; Farming!
Now, players are able to build the dig site of their dreams all while becoming the biggest farmer in town. Players can grow several different crops, water them, harvest them and even turn them into soup (which becomes important later on down the line). Not only that, there will now be NPCs who have a real hankering for some nice warm soup, and that my friend is where you come into play.
Get those crops grown and harvested to create a delicious vegetable soup for the town’s patrons who will then reward you with Farming Guild Tokens, which is the newest currency added to the game. These can be used to purchase upgrades and more as you progress in your farming endeavors. There has been a grocery store added right next to the Jewellers, where you can sell those farm-fresh fruits and veggies or fish you caught to them for some extra cash.
New vehicles have been added with this update as well, including a Hydro Cropper. This farming utility vehicle is used to harvest and replant crops with ease, making your life as a farmer a whole lot easier. There has been a Hydro Quad added in as well, which is a very fast vehicle with a bit of storage space for you to use while getting around the town. Lastly, there was a Hydro Roller added in, which allows you to level the ground in the blink of an eye. All of these new vehicles are available now in the Vehicle Store.
