Eternights Gets New Summer 2023 Release Window & Shows Gameplay in New Trailer

Today developer Studio Sai provided an update about its upcoming dating sim/action game hybrid Eternights

The game, which was announced back in June 2022, was originally supposed to release for PS5, PS4, and PC (via Steam and Epic Game Store) early this year, but now it has a new “summer 2023” release window.

The game, which wears its Persona and anime inspiration on the sleeve, matches action combat with dating sim mechanics, prompting the players to fight against dangerous monsters while also struggling to find love in a post-apocalyptic setting.

You can check out what it’s all about in the trailer below, showing both gameplay and beautiful anime-style cutscenes. I don’t know about you, but this looks lovely to me.

In case you missed it, here’s how Studio Sai describes the story:

“With a mysterious entity turning humanity into monsters obsessed with violence and power, surreal evil stands between players, a cure and the brighter future the world deserves. Eternights’ gripping story is a race against time to stop a dark fate centered on a thoughtful examination of human connection and the intrinsic value of love. With scavenging, dungeon crawling and dating all on the to-do list, the clock is ticking – and choosing how to spend each precious remaining day counts.”

The game will come with English, Japanese, and Korean voice-overs, further matching its inspiration. While we don’t know the names of the Japanese voice actors just yet, Studio Sai promises to reveal them soon, also teasing that they’re well-known names in the anime industry. Of course, you can expect to read all about it here on TechRaptor when the announcement is finally made.
