Today third-party developers released three new airports for Microsoft Flight Simulator, evenly distributed between Asia, North America, and Europe.
We start in North America with Portland International Jetport (KPWM), the largest airport in Maine, United States, released by Aerodesigns.
It’s currently available on Orbx Direct, Contrail, IniBuilds, and Aerosoft for approximately $18.39, including the following features.
- Highly accurate and detailed 3D models of the Terminal exterior and interior
- Detailed and accurate 3D models of surrounding airport buildings with high-resolution textures
- Custom modeled, textured, and animated Jetways
- Custom and accurate 3D Mesh for the entire airport area
- HDR and accurate night lighting all round
- Fully custom high-resolution ground textures and markings
- Fully customized runway and taxiway lighting
- Custom PBR for all textures
- Accurate placing of ground clutter and equipment
- Now includes the extension of taxiway Bravo, reworking of taxiway Alpha, new taxiway Hotel, updated terminal apron that includes the new de-icing pads, and finally the rehabilitation of runway 29-11.
- This airport also comes with a fully custom GSX profile catered specifically for Portland Jetport, which is packaged into the scenery folder (please note: disable the default GSX jetways in the GSX installer/configuration menu)
Next, we move on to Europe, and specifically Slovakia, with the release of Poprad–Tatry Airport (LZTT) by Propair Flight. It’s one of the highest-altitude airports in Europe that host scheduled flights, serving a local ski resort.
It’s available on Orbx Direct for $9.89.
Last, but not least, we go to Thailand with Ubon Ratchathani Airport (VTUU), which includes both commercial services and a Royal Thai Air Force base.
It’s available on Simmarket for $16.75 plus applicable VAT.
