Today was the final day of The MIXUP tournament in Lyon, France, and Bandai Namco had a Tekken 8 surprise to share in the form of a character reveal.
This time around, we hear of the return of another regular who has been around since Tekken 5: Dark Resurrection, Emilie De Rochefort, commonly known as Lili.
Of course, the big question is whether she told her fighter she’s attending the tournament this time around, or she’s fighting on the sly as usual.
Of course, the announcement came accompanied by a trailer, which you can enjoy below.
Tekken 8 is coming for PC, Xbox Series X|S, and PS5 and doesn’t have a release date or window just yet. We do know that the game will support both Crossplay and Rollback Netcode, as recently revealed by chief producer Katsuhiro Harada himself.
A few months ago, Bandai Namco hosted an extensive presentation at the Tekken World Tour 2022 finals, explaining how the gameplay will evolve from Tekken 7 thanks to a handful of new mechanics.
If you’d like to see some more really spiffy character trailers, we also recently saw those dedicated to Asuka Kazama, Leroy Smith, Ling Xiaoyu, Jun Kazama, Jack-8, Lars Alexandersson, King, Marshall Law, Paul Phoenix, Jin Kazama, Kazuya Mishima, and Nina Williams.
